"The Buckaroo Ball is an annual event
held in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Since the first Ball in 1994, the Buckaroo Ball
Committee has allocated $4.4 million to organizations helping at-risk children
in Santa Fe County. Through the generosity of individuals, businesses and
organizations, and through the dedication of the committee and volunteers, the
Buckaroo Ball is the largest, single event fund-raiser in the state of New
Mexico, and one of the largest events in the southwest.
Funds are awarded to non-profit organizations that serve at-risk children in
Santa Fe County. The agencies submit their request, and after a comprehensive
review process by the Buckaroo Ball's Full Committee and its Grants Committee,
the grantees are selected. Since 1994, 58 different non-profit agencies have
received funding from the Buckaroo Ball."
